Financial and Operations Consulting
We assist management teams of both early-stage businesses and more established companies in a variety of consulting services in the areas of Finance and Operations.  We supply experience in areas that management may not have faced before, and we supply additional bandwidth to experienced management teams who simply have too many demands on their time to accomplish all of the necessary tasks at once.  Some of the services we can provide in these areas include:
  • Preparing budgets, projections and other financial models. Our work can provide you with a level of detail and scalability that is essential for effective management of your business, as well as serving as a foundation for future presentations to investors and lenders
  • Developing operating policies, plans and procedures, such as compensation policies, business processes, travel and expense policies, and financial controls
  • Obtaining loans from banks or other commercial lenders, including
    • Preparing budgets, projections and other financial models with elements that are unique to the lending process, such as “borrowing base” and “net availability” calculations
    • Preparing the company in advance for the lender’s due diligence audit, including review and augmentation of your financial and legal books and records (i.e., “getting the house in order”)
    • Preparing a "pitch book" to present to potential lenders
    • Participating in negotiations with lenders
    • Project managing the entire borrowing process, including coordinating all internal and external resources (e.g., internal finance department, accountants, lawyers, etc.), coordinating the due diligence audit conducted by the lender and managing the company’s responses in that audit
  • Analyzing and planning for new initiatives, such as entrance into new markets or development of new products
  • Analyzing and planning related to troubled operations or turn-around situations, including analysis of the viability of an operation and development of plans either to turn around or dispose of the operation
